Position Overview

Circle K is one of the world’s leading convenience and fuel retailer with 15,000 sites across its network in North America (U.S. and Canada), Europe (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Ireland, the Baltics and Russia), Asia and the Middle East. The European Management is placed in Oslo, Norway, and manages about 25,000 people.

Close to 60 % of Circle K total fuel sales stem from B2B customers, utilizing fuel cards. The BCS division is responsible for all cards, services and product developments for Circle K in Europe. The Card & Payment Development team is a part of the BCS division with responsibility for cards, payments, services and product developments.


Senior Manager, Card Platform Development


You drive development and implementation of CKE’s card platform and manage continuous improvement based on our corporate strategy for the European market


Key responsibilities

  •     Build and maintain our corporate insight in fin-tech /payment for current and future card platform possibilities, and be our European go-to-person for discussing fin-tech trends in card platform tech.
  • Drive fin-tech vendor definition and selection, negotiation and implementation of Circle K’s new European platform for card and payments
    • Ensure vendor quality, cost control and timely delivery of the platform
    • Secure close cooperation with procurement and IT, as well as alignment with BCS card platform operations
    • Be European SPOC (single point of contact) for the vendor(s)
  • Drive continuous development of fin-tech and card platform together with vendor(s), our BUs and our global IT-organization
    • Establish strategy, secure our focus on market needs, establish processes and governance, and secure stakeholder management


Desired profile

  • Solid experience (6y+) from management consulting with honed core management consulting skills
  • Strategic insight in the payment industry is a clear advantage, if not – you will be able to develop it in the role
  • Strong business acumen combined with analytical mindset
  • Strategic and with strong business acumen, an analytical mindset and a keen interest in technology
  • Experienced project / program manager with a proven track record
  • Fluent in English, both orally and written
  • Relevant higher education (e.g. Master degree level in industrial engineering, IT, business administration/ economics, sales/marketing, etc.)
